Beta Sitosterol
At Young Again we highly recommend the plant substance "beta-sitosterol". It is a natural extract found in sugar cane pulp (after the sugar is pressed out), pine oil, and soybeans. It is contained in very small, insignificant amounts in saw palmetto, Pygeum africanum, nettles, and other herbs that are supposed to be good for prostate health. Therefore, the herbs and extracts of saw palmetto, etc. are biologically useless. You should take 300 mg to 600 mg of mixed sterols a day. "Beta-sitolsterol" is really a misnomer. The correct term is "mixed plant sterols". It is actually a combination of beta-sitosterol, brassica-sterol, and stigma-sterol.
This is the most powerful nutritional supplement for prostate health known to science. It helps protect women from breast cancer. This is also the most effective of all supplements for lowering your cholesterol and triglycerides. These sterols are found in every vegetable you eat, but few people eat many green and yellow vegetables. People of all ages can benefit from taking beta-sterol complex. The average human intake is probably about 300 mg a day.
We sell Alpha Prostate® with minerals and vitamins. We sell Better Prostate® with minerals only. We sell Natural Cholesterol® with just 300 mg of mixed sterols. We sell Better Cholesterol® with sterols, beta glucan, and soy isoflavones. Men should read my book The Natural Prostate Cure. This is the most comprehensive, effective and researched book on natural prostate health in the entire world. It is based on 40 years of published international research. Anyone with high cholesterol and/or triglycerides should read my book Lower Cholesterol Without Drugs. You can lower your blood fats naturally with diet and lifestyle, instead of drugs.
You may have noticed it is very hard to find good plant sterol products in drug stores, your local health food store, or even the big chains like GNC, Puritan's Pride, and Swanson's. Most mail order vitamin catalogs don't even carry it, so one has to do an Internet search. Puritan’s Pride, the largest vitamin corporation in the world, only sells a mere 125 mg sterol supplement. There are many prostate products out there, but none of them nearly as complete and effective as Alpha Prostate®, and Better Prostate®. Just read the labels on any of these. You’ll find nearly all of them contain useless saw palmetto and other herbs.
The average American diet is estimated to contain about 300 mg of mixed sterols in their vegetables every day. These vital sterols are found in literally every vegetable we eat, only in small amounts. Vegetarians, on the other hand, are estimated to eat about 600 mg day of sterols, or more than twice as much as the usual meat/potatoes/white bread diet of most Americans. You will just not get enough of these plant sterols unless you take a supplement. Women can help reduce their risk of breast cancer by taking beta-sitosterol every day. Breast cancer is the female equivalent of prostate cancer with the same causes and cures. The international published science on the benefits of mixed plant sterols is most impressive. More studies are done very year.
